Level 1: Learn the basics: patterns (selection, choosing, sizing, understanding), guide sheets, tissues, fabric layouts, pinning, cutting, marking, sewing, hemming, & SEW MUCH MORE!
Level 2: Darts, pleats, tucks, zippers, waistbands, vents, slits, snaps, buttons, hooks & eyes, straps, Velcro, & SEW MUCH MORE!
Level 3: Facings, simple sleeves, simple collars, ruffle collars, front closures, ruffles, lace, trims, pockets, special seams & SEW MUCH MORE!
Level 4: Stripes, plaids, bindings, piping, bias tape, stitched elastic & SEW MUCH MORE!
You Can Make It®
Class Descriptions
The You Can Make It® Curriculum is a wonderful guideline for learning the art of sewing. It is intended for adults starting from scratch and leading them through toward tailoring. Sewing skills are grouped by their difficulty still enabling you to make a garment at each level. Imagine yourself learning to count before becoming a banker. In Adult classes we start with the basics and methodically sew toward Tailoring.
